Catholic Women’s Association

CATHOLIC WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION

The Catholic Women’s Association was founded in the Pretoria Archdiocese 1964 by a group of women who wanted to grow spiritually by serving God and the needy in the Church and community. In 1970 the Association spread to other parishes around Pretoria. The Association has grown to over 1 000 members who are determined to uphold the dignity of womanhood by empowering other women to be confident and rise above the wounds of oppression, abuse, and reject. Indeed, there is a dire need to train women in leadership, create jobs, and move them from zero to hero.  The CWA has been restructured and repositioned to be a relevant association to make a difference in the lives of women, youth, and children.
